Silence, darkness, and hate. Hate pulsing from this male's gait. Never really liking anything, well, that's a lie, he likes Likely and his ways. The Akita growled to himself about how humans were stupid. His eyes darted around, finally setting on the little island. He smirked, slowly he walked down the narrowed strip of land connecting to the island. His paws indented the sand, leaving his personal mark.
Duke lifted his head in pride and dominance. Let's face it, he was a little...lonely at the moment, even thought he refused to admit it. He hated admitting anything besides that he was always right. Once he finally got to the island, he sat down in an area surrounded by trees. Why was he here? He didn't know, he just wanted to explore the lands outside of his territory. Duke shut his eyes and thought about his pack, it was tiny, small. How was he supposed to kill the humans? He didn't know.

Djali lifted her paws as silently as she could. She wondered for the hundredth time why she had decided to take the water rather than the strip of dry land that led to the sorry excuse for land on the other side. If nothing else, she hoped that her labours (that's what she thought they were. No one else would call walking in ankle deep water a cumbersome task), and that the small piece of scrap land would be empty. There were too many happy go lucky fools on the main land, and she was getting sick an tired of all their rainbows and sunshine.
She pulled herself up onto the banks of the island and shook the imaginary water out of her fur. She hadn't actually gotten wet, but she liked to take precautions. She froze when she noticed the larger Akita on his own.
"Looks like I'm not the only one who had this idea," she said to him with a dangerous grin. This had better not be another pansy, or I'm going to rip his throat out, she thought. And she would have, too, had it been a pansy.
